Peace divine…
Posted by admin on July 30th, 2009 filed in PoemsMy eyes wide open at this wonderful sight..
I wonder why beautiful thoughts won’t arise..
Stretched farms with sea besides,
grazing cattle with great delights
Stretched blue seamless sky,
I can only wish if I could fly..
Countless shades of greens,
dancing to the rhythm of winds..
Countless sweet tiny flowers,
each with unique shape and color..
Immense wind hitting my face
Isn’t this a charming place?
Fascinated with this phenomenal sight
Why not for such peace divine…

Good one Gauri..the feel of you in the middle of nature’s symphony is all over your small poem. Liked it. Especially the third stanza. Liked it a lot.
Vastness is a subtle beauty that nature wears. No doubt it made you pen these thoughts. Everytime i stand in the shore of a sea or ocean or a farm such as the one in the picture that you have uploaded, i stretch both of my arms to just feel the maximum vastness. It is just so majestic..just so divine…
I dont know if you would miss the momentary feel if you change one of your sentence formation (I can only wish if i could fly) to (I wish I could fly). The latter one also stages the same but more poignant.
‘Immense wind’ is an interesting formation. May be there is more to the strength of the wind and hence you wanted to say Immense rather than strong.
‘great delights’ rhymes but ‘great delight’ stages. So…again..your choice
